Saying thank you is the culmination of how we celebrate – and commemorate – life’s treasured events and milestones. By working one-on-one with a designer to create a custom thank you card, you have the truly special opportunity to honor your cherished relationships. Here are a few tips to make your ‘thank you’ memorable with a custom thank you card!
Create a Keepsake
From how it looks to how it feels, there are several ways design (and a great print partner) can create a sensory experience that means your card is making its way to the mantle, rather than the recycle bin!
For my own wedding thank you cards, I designed rose gold foil to overlay the Welsh and English languages. I leveraged a flat card design with the hopes our family and friends would be encouraged to keep the card around as a print, while leaving plenty of space for a personal note on the back.
Take Them Back
This is a great time to highlight memories, reflections and recall all the emotions! In our case, I used a reading from our wedding (read by Mr. Lettery Co’s dad).
While I briefly considered using another reading (by my favorite esteemed poet, Carrie Bradshaw), I knew this was a perfect way to take people back to the wonderful memories of that beautiful October weekend where we all celebrated together!
Make it Uniquely You
I encourage you to break up the card writing process so that you don’t get too fatigued to write a meaningful note to each guest, use this as an opportunity to showcase your personality!
Want to include a photo? By all means, do it! We included high-quality prints from Artifact Uprising to our wedding party and immediate family. You can also design a card to specifically show off those swoon-worthy wedding portraits that often don’t fit perfectly into a template design.
I can’t wait to see how you create a unique experience while saying thank you to your wedding guests. And of course if you need help crafting the perfect piece of stationery, don’t hesitate to contact me!
